Greenvale Training Area (for Australia-Singapore Military Training Initiative (ASMTI)
Location: 195 km northwest of Townsville, Queensland.
Clearing anticipated: Main Works project area is approximately 303,258 ha. The Disturbance footprint - 868.59 ha (inclusive of 688.4 ha of vegetation clearing).
Avoidance area - Not proposed.
Retention area - Not proposed

More than 99% of vegetation in Greenvale Training Area is mapped as remnant vegetation. The majority of vegetation is associated with open woodland vegetation communities.
The project area contains Indigenous, historic and natural heritage sites, including several limestone karsts and cave systems with
a network of subterranean cave systems within Greenvale Training Area
Three EPBC Act listed threatened fauna species were confirmed present in the Main Works project area as a result of field surveys:
Greater large-eared horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus robertsi) vulnerable
Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) - endangered, confirmed present via fecal pellets at 7 sites
Greater glider (northern) (Petauroides minor) - vulnerable , confirmed present at 9 locations along waterway.
Five EPBC Act listed threatened fauna species were assessed from the likelihood of occurrence assessment to be likely to occur:
Northern quoll (Dasyurus hallucatus) - endangered.
Red goshawk (Erythrotriorchis radiatus) - endangered.
Black-throated finch (southern) (Poephila cincta cincta) - endangered.
Squatter pigeon (southern) (Geophaps scripta scripta) - vulnerable.
Ghost bat (Macroderma gigas) - vulnerable.An additional 10 EPBC Act listed threatened fauna species were assessed from the likelihood of occurrence assessment to be species that may occur:
Curlew sandpiper (Calidris ferruginea) - critically endangered.
Gouldian finch (Erythrura gouldiae) - endangered.
Star finch (eastern) (Neochmia ruficauda ruficauda) - endangered.
Australian painted snipe (Rostratula australis) - endangered.
Yakka skink (Egernia rugosa) - vulnerable.
Grey falcon (Falco hypoleucos) - vulnerable.
Semon's leaf-nosed bat (Hipposideros semoni) - vulnerable.
Black-footed tree-rat (Mesembriomys gouldiirattoides) - vulnerable.
Bare-rumped sheath-tailed bat (Saccolaimus saccolaimus nudicluniatus) - vulnerable.
Masked owl (northern) (Tyto novaehollandiae kimberli) - vulnerable
